It’s a real thing.
Not the combination of blonde and orange in trendy hair coloring, or the “crème de blorange” color palette in website design, but this amazing display of royal blue sky peeking around the edges of bright orange maple leaves.
Walking along the along the birch and box elder yellow-curtained trail today, I heard an unusual bird call, and looking up to the tree tops, there it was. Blorange! What could be more dramatic than these two opposite colors coexisting in the October landscape?

Most of us remember from elementary school art class that blue and orange are opposite each other on the color wheel. The color blue stands for freedom and imagination - orange for adventure and creativity.
In color theory, blue tones are a natural companion for orange. These complementary colors look especially stunning when used in saturated shades, such as red-orange and indigo blue. So there you have it - freedom, imagination, adventure and creativity all rolled up together in one upward glance.
Isn’t fall just the best?
