Surrender to spring snowstorms.
Just when you thought it was safe to put away your parka... heavy rain, then sleet and gusty wind ushered in more than 10 inches of wet, new snow. Power lines are down, trees branches are sagging, roads are blocked, the airport’s closed, so whatta’ya going to do? Why not take a walk?
"As snow is melting, Pretty birds begin to sing, Rain washes winter... In dreams flowers are growing, Lovely hues that sway and dance."
Constance La France, “Snow Tanka”
The trail was a deep, frosty mess of a wonderland today. Once the maelstrom passed, the sky cleared and the sun came out - and what a beautiful day it was. Brilliant blue heavens with nothing but twisty-turny, glitter-frosted branches all around.
Minnesota April never disappoints.
