­Thank you for coming along with me on the Luce Line Trail.  I've been walking on this trail for decades, but when things turned weird in the world, time on this trail became more precious than ever. Every day there's something new and hopeful, evidence of the changing seasons and the expectancy of something wonderful just around the bend. Come along and I'll show you some of my favorite places and we'll notice together that even on gloomiest day the world is unfolding with beauty. 

I started this blog in March 2020 while the weather was blustery and there was still plenty of snow and ice along the sides of the trail. Now it’s July 2024! More than four years of trustworthy natural drama.

The seasons have unwrapped themselves just as they should—four years of evolving colors, textures, fragrances and sounds—and they are enthusiastic about going around again. So faithful. So uplifting.
